LONGTONESFORPEACE
- A great sound travels around the world -
In todays world, Peace is more important than ever. Music has the power to trascend borders and unite people.
This project is for experienced wind and strings players, and singers – anyone who can hold long notes, intonate well and also has some improvisation experience. Constellations from 10-100 musicians are thinkable.
The sole intention of all musicians while playing should be: This sound travels around the world sending vibrations of peace and freedom.
All musical participants are asked to prepare themselves internally, and play with inner peace and harmony as much as possible. The public is also invited to join in this inner peaceful preparation. Outer peace can only be the result of inner an peace. Peace is possible.
My aim is: friendly, peaceful co-existence of all People worldwide. May our music inspire others to live peacefully together. Diverstity in oneness.
Thanks to all friends who supported this idea.
My vision is not to perform this music outside, but in beautiful, resonant sounding spaces, halls, preferably churches. This is so a meditative, contemplative and spiritual element is also possible.
Form: A-B-A, may vary according to the inspiration of the moment
A = all play / sing long tones, listen well …
B = everyone is allowed to improvise freely – listen even deeper …
room for solos, duos…
There is no stylistic classification, everyone is free
if necessary a bit conducted by Markus
A = long tones again, the musicians may move freely in the hall
nice conclusion, the public may join singing towards the end
Then a moment of SILENCE.
The music may also be played completely intuitively, as it seem appropriate in that moment of performance.
Duration: variable 60-90 minutes
