Atlas EP

Published as Long Play in 2015 | Music by Markus Stockhausen and Martux_m Crew. Electric music on side A and only acoustic music on side B.

“All boundaries are conventions, waiting to be transcended. One may transcend any convention, if only one can first conceive of doing so. Moments like this, I can feel your heart beating as clearly as I feel my own, and I know that separation is an illusion. My life extends far beyond the limitations of me. To be is to be perceived. And so to know thyself is only possible through the eyes of the other. Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.”(1)
A vinyl – side A, side B – two different polarizations: electronic and acustic, as connecting poles of a battery generating energy. A vinyl in an unstable equilibrium, unstable as everything around us: nature and artificiality, right and evil, everything and nothing, absolute and relative, order and chaos, emotion and ratio. All the opposite terms may find an equilibrium in the playing circle, as in the connection between feminine and masculine; the stylus running in the track of the circle is the procreative union of a new sonority. Atlas in not an individual work, rather it is the product of two artists. Atlas goes towards a transformation.”
